We build the networks that power distribution relies on
BIGBUD Sp. z o.o. is a Kraków-based contractor for medium- and low-voltage power network works. We work for distribution system operators, general contractors and renewable energy investors across Poland.
Who we are
A young company with a team experienced in the power sector
BIGBUD Sp. z o.o. has been operating since 2024. Our registered office is at ul. Rybitwy 22 lok. 318 in Kraków. The company is built around a well-coordinated team of professionals with many years of experience in the power industry — people who know network construction from the trench, through jointing, to acceptance.
From our very first contract we have focused on what can be verified: metres of line built, deadlines met and what clients say about us. Each of our five completed contracts is confirmed by a written reference, which we publish in full on the References page. All of them confirm that the works were carried out properly, on time and without defects.

What we do
Our scope of works
We specialise in medium-voltage networks from 6 to 30 kV and low-voltage 0.4 kV networks. We build new lines, rebuild existing ones, underground overhead lines and relocate networks that clash with planned infrastructure. We also deliver the electrical infrastructure of solar and wind farms.
MV and LV cable lines
Construction, rebuilding and repair of MV 6–30 kV and LV 0.4 kV cable lines: trenching, drilling, cable laying, joints, terminations, testing and handover.

Three ways to work with us
We adapt to the structure of the contract. Our role depends on the client and the scope — in each of them we take responsibility for the quality and timing of our part.
General contractor
We take on the whole job: site preparation, earthworks and drilling, electrical installation, testing, as-built documentation and handover for operation.
Consortium leader
For larger tenders we team up with a partner. For ENEA Operator we led a consortium with TECHNO-BUD sp. z o.o. on a contract worth PLN 2,405,200 net — see the project.
Subcontractor
We deliver the entire electrical scope or selected works — cable lines, directional drilling, joints and cable junctions — for contractors such as ZILINSKIS and PIWOWARSKI.

What our work is based on
Reliability
We say what we can do and by when — and we stick to it. We describe our projects using only the facts stated in our references.
Safety
Work near live networks leaves no room for shortcuts. We plan outages, work zones and protective measures together with the operator — more under Safety and quality.
Orderly paperwork
Network acceptance also means test reports, a geodetic as-built survey and as-built documentation. We prepare them alongside the works.
Respect for the land
Wherever possible we use directional drilling instead of open trenches, and after the works we restore the ground to its original condition.
Equipment
Our own machinery
We own our core machines, so our schedule never depends on what a hire company has available. Our fleet includes a CAT 302.7 mini excavator, a Caterpillar 432 backhoe loader, a GRUNDODRILL Tracto Technik 15 XPT directional drilling rig, a Tesmec ARS405 hydraulic puller for cable pulling and a Volvo FE 320 truck with an HMF 2120 loader crane for moving cable drums and materials.

Our track record
Five contracts, five references
Our history is short but fully documented. These are our contracts in order — each with a written reference from the client.

Toruń, autumn 2024
As a subcontractor to ZILINSKIS we undergrounded the 15 kV line from GPZ Toruń Podgórz to Włocławek 3: 5,725 m of cable line, around 600 m of drilling and pipe jacking, and 2 ZKSN junctions. Details.

Bolewice, winter 2024–25
For PIWOWARSKI we built 2,350 m of 15 kV cable line in 18 days, then rebuilt the MV and LV network in eight villages — 5,606 m of line and around 550 m of drilling. Details.

Konin, 2025–26
For ZILINSKIS we built the feeder lines for the RS Maliniec 15 kV switching station — 5,410 m of MV cable in total, around 350 m of drilling and 18 sets of joints and terminations. Details.

Niegosławice municipality, 2025–26
As consortium leader for ENEA Operator we built 3 MV/LV substations and MV and LV cable lines, and dismantled 8.266 km of MV overhead line. Details.
Where we work
Office in Kraków, sites across Poland
So far we have worked in the Lubuskie, Greater Poland and Kuyavian-Pomeranian voivodeships. We move our equipment with our own transport, so distance from Kraków is not an obstacle.
