Open trench for a medium-voltage cable line

Services

Medium- and low-voltage networks — from trench to handover

We build, rebuild and underground MV 6–30 kV and LV 0.4 kV power networks, install substations and cable junctions, carry out directional drilling and build grid-connection infrastructure for renewables. With our own plant and our own crews, anywhere in Poland.

Scope

Ten areas, one point of responsibility

We can deliver any of these services on its own or combine them into a complete package — for example undergrounding a line together with drilling under roads, new ZKSN junctions and removal of the old overhead line.

MV and LV cable lines

Construction, rebuilding and repair of MV 6–30 kV and LV 0.4 kV cable lines: trenching, drilling, cable laying, joints, terminations, testing and handover.

Overhead line undergrounding

Undergrounding of MV and LV overhead lines: new cable line, HDD crossings, ZKSN junctions, switching and removal of the old line, poles included.

MV overhead lines 6–30 kV

MV 6–30 kV and LV overhead lines: pole erection and replacement, line rebuilds, tie-ins to cable lines and removal of lines and pole-mounted substations.

Learn more

MV/LV substations

Construction of MV/LV transformer substations, ZKSN and LV cable junctions, replacement of pole-mounted units, MV and LV cable connections and testing.

Learn more

Horizontal directional drilling

Horizontal directional drilling and pipe jacking under roads, railways and rivers — ducts for MV, LV and fibre cables. Own Tracto-Technik GRUNDODRILL rig.

Learn more

Fibre-optic ducts

Fibre-optic duct construction: HDPE ducts and microducts, cable chambers, directional drilling under roads and railways. Civil works contractor across Poland.

Learn more

Utility conflict relocation

Relocating MV and LV networks that clash with roads, railways and new developments: cable diversions, undergrounding, HDD, DSO outages and acceptance.

Learn more

Equipment supply

Equipment procurement for MV and LV networks: XRUHAKXS and NA2XS(F)2Y cables, joints, terminations, ZK/ZKSN junctions, substations and ducts to DSO specs.

Learn more

Solar farms

Solar farm electrical infrastructure: internal MV cable network, transformer substations, MV switchgear and the line to the DSO grid. Grid connection works.

Learn more

Wind farms

Electrical infrastructure for wind farms: MV cable network between turbines, MV junctions and switchgear, lines to the HV/MV substation and DSO grid.

How we work

General contractor, consortium leader or subcontractor

Power network contracts come in different shapes. A distribution system operator (DSO) tenders the construction and removal of networks across several villages; a general contractor looks for a firm to take on the entire cable scope; a solar farm investor needs someone to build the MV line to the connection point. That is why we do not insist on a single model.

As general contractor or consortium leader we take responsibility for the whole job: site organisation, permits and arrangements, programme, coordination of partners and handover documentation. That is how we delivered the contract for ENEA Operator in the Niegosławice municipality — as consortium leader with TECHNO-BUD, covering three new transformer substations, MV and LV cable lines and the removal of more than 8 km of MV overhead line.

As a subcontractor we take on a defined scope — a complete cable line, directional drilling only, accessory installation or dismantling. We have worked in this role for ZILINSKIS (Toruń, Konin) and PIWOWARSKI (eight villages around Międzychód, Bolewice). We know what operators expect, so the main contractor receives work that is ready for acceptance rather than a snagging list.

  • Our own plant: HDD rig, CAT excavators, Tesmec puller, Volvo truck with crane
  • Site management and as-built documentation on our side
  • Flexible scope — from a single bore to a turnkey contract

Typical scope of cooperation

These are the arrangements we typically work in. The details are always tailored to the design and the client's requirements.

Working together

From enquiry to network handover

Whether we are the general contractor or a subcontractor for one package, the work follows the same pattern.

  1. 01

    Enquiry and review

We receive the design, bill of quantities or a description of the scope, check the technology, obstacles along the route and the client's requirements, and suggest a site visit for larger jobs.

  2. 02

    Quote and programme

We prepare a quote with scope, programme and terms, making clear which works we carry out with our own plant and which with partners.

  3. 03

    Site preparation

Notifications to land and road authorities, traffic management, setting out the route, outage dates with the operator and material deliveries.

  4. 04

    Construction

Earthworks and drilling, cable laying, installation of accessories, substations and junctions, switching and dismantling — with our own crews under our site manager.

  5. 05

    Testing and acceptance

Measurements and tests, as-built geodetic survey and a full set of handover documents. More in From design to acceptance.

Questions

Questions about our services

Which voltages do you work on?

We focus on medium-voltage networks of 6–30 kV and low-voltage 0.4 kV networks. Our contracts to date have covered MV 15 kV and 20 kV lines as well as LV cable lines.

Can you take on just part of a job, such as drilling?

Yes. We have our own directional drilling rig, so we can carry out crossings under roads, railways or watercourses for another contractor. Likewise we take on cable laying alone, joint and termination work, or the removal of old networks.

Do you build networks directly for operators?

Yes. For ENEA Operator's Zielona Góra Distribution Branch we delivered, as consortium leader, a contract worth PLN 2,405,200 net. The details are on the project page.

How do I request a quote?

The easiest way is the request-for-quote form — with a design, bill of quantities or simply a description of the route. We will reply with a quote and programme, or suggest a site visit.

Looking for an MV or LV network contractor?

Send us the design or a description of the scope — we will come back with a price and a proposed programme.
